Our mission at Unc'L Lunkers is to give the local angler and the visitor to the area, the best fishing experience with the best tackle avaiable in the state of Maine.

Unc'L Lunkers was opened on July 17th 2006 in Bridgton Maine.  The location at 6 Gage Street was previously used as a Snow Machine repair shop and an appliance repair\sales retail store.  The building has a great location, close to Route 302 yet not on the main drag.  In the winter of 2008 the shop area was expanded, utilizing the excess storage space at the rear of the building.  Unc'L Lunkers has also expanded the parking area at the rear of the building allowing customers the ability to park and drive completly around the building. 

The inventory has more than tripled, the shop is carrrying more equipment for trolling, fly fishing and stream fishing.  In addition there is an extensive selection of bass fishing equipment.  We now carry TFO (Temple Fork Outfitters) fly fishing equipment. In the winter the shop carries all of the equipment required to be on the ice for the ice fishing season.  The shop started carrying live bait the winter of the first year and has carried on with a diverse selection of baits including shiners, sucker fish, crayfish, spikes and other legal baits.  Of course the worms, dillies and crawlers are a summer staple.  It took a while to figure out what a dillie was (besides a cool name for a worm) it's actually an immature crawler.  Learn something new every day.

The website was setup when the shop opened.  It is used for showing off the fish that have been caught in the local waters, updates at the shop, a news letter with fish stories.  The local guide page is available to help find local guides and service providers in the area.  Unc'L Lunkers is not in the business of selling on the web, we are a full service sporting goods store front. 

In 2007 Unc'L Lunkers became a Maine State Sporting License Dealer. (Hunting and fishing licenses available and out of state Milfoil stickers are on hand)

In 2010 Unc'L Lunkers added a large inventory of fly tying materials to the mix of products offered in the shop. (Building expansion will be needed this year)  In addition Unc'L Lunkers is now a fully authorized Power-pole retailer offering the complete line of Power-pole products and installations.
